Ravelli APGL4 Tripod Review
The main tripod that we use in our productions and pictures is the Ravelli APGL4. It is a 70” vertical pistol grip ball head tripod. The pistol grip ball head makes this tripod unique. The grip allows you to squeeze and then move the head into pretty much any position then release the trigger/grip to set the head into that position. This head is not recommended for video as it is not made for the smooth panning movements. In this case we purchased a separate fluid head. The tripod itself is very sturdy and with plenty of height. It has soft grips on 2 of 3 legs to help with transport and grip. Ball feet are on the bottom meaning that wherever the tripod is placed it can adjust to the certain terrain. Another bonus to this tripod is that the legs can be inverted and therefore the height can be lowered to ground level but still keeping that stable shot. For the quality of this tripod, we believe the low price tag makes it a bargain and would recommend it to anyone wanting a more professional tripod that the £12 Argos ones. However, this will not break the bank like bigger brands such as Manfrotto.
